This summer, team members at our site in Cleveland, Ohio competed in the Cleveland Corporate Challenge, an athletic competition among area businesses that promotes employee wellness, company camaraderie and networking while supporting charities.
The top three teams in each division at the end of the season had a donation made to the organisation of their choice. Our team competed in support of Mission 22, a U.S. non-profit that supports active service members, veterans and their families through a variety of physical and mental wellness programmes, educational resources and more.
Points were awarded for event participation and rankings, as well as for assisting as a volunteer. Across the three months, the group competed in a variety of activities, including softball, bowling, mini golf and sand volleyball. Our team won third place in its division for the obstacle course challenge and the 10K relay race and tied for third in event volunteerism.
Although the team did not place in the top three overall, we supported the group’s efforts with a $1,000 donation to Mission 22 as part of our Charitable Giving programme.
Congratulations and thank you to all who participated. We look forward to competing again in next year’s Corporate Challenge.
