Avon Protection’s Finance Graduate Traineeship is a 3-year structured programme that is designed to provide the successful applicant with a comprehensive range of financial experience whilst supporting the individual through their professional exams. Over the course of 3 years, the Finance Graduate will have the opportunity to:
Work across the different Finance teams, learning how financial data is captured and processed
Learn how financial performance and key metrics are analysed internally in order to support the Company’s decision-making process
Learn how to report and control financial data
In order to obtain this wide range of financial experience, the graduate will rotate across different finance teams including the local finance team (responsible for financial processing of local based trading entity), the FP&A team (financial planning & analysis) and the Group controlling team (reporting & controlling). Alongside the practical experience of working within the Finance Team, the Graduate will have the opportunity to qualify for a professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
The Traineeship provides the right candidate with a unique opportunity and insight to all finance related functions and how they support the wider business. Having successfully concluded the 3-year programme and accounting qualification, numerous job opportunities are available within the business, allowing the right candidate to forge a growing career with Avon Protection.
The Traineeship will be based at our head office near Bath in Melksham, Wiltshire, though some remote working may be required.
Through continuous reviews and feedback, and with the help of your own personal mentor, you will grow into a well-rounded qualified accountant with business acumen, taking you from entry-level position to expert and beyond, in a company which is growing fast and offers opportunity for progression.

£26k annual salary, with potential to rise up to £31k in the final year based on performance during the programme.

Applicants must:
Have obtained or be about to obtain a minimum of a 2:1 for your undergraduate degree (any degree discipline considered)
A-level Maths
Have permission to work in the U.K. by the start of their employment
Be able to start work in September 2022

Step Two - Applications close Applications for the programme will close on 18th April. After this you will receive an email informing you whether your application was successful.
Step Three - Interviews We want to get to know you better so shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview. We will be looking for strengths in communication and innovative ideas so we will ask you to complete a series of exercises and interviews to give you the opportunity to demonstrate these skills.
Step Four - Job offers are made Within a week of the final interview, we will provide the successful candidate with a job offer. If you are unsuccessful, we will ensure that you are given feedback to help you with your development.
Step Five - Graduate induction The graduate induction programme will begin in September 2022. You will spend two weeks getting to know the business, start working on your development plan and get settled into your new role.
